Tara J. Clayton practices in the firm’s litigation section, concentrating in the areas of health care litigation, nursing home negligence and general civil litigation. She has experience in insurance coverage and defense litigation, as well as representing creditors in prosecuting their claims. Prior to joining Middleton Reutlinger, Ms. Clayton clerked with the Kentucky Court of Appeals under the Honorable William E. McAnulty, Jr.

Ms. Clayton was recognized in the 2009 and 2010 editions of Benchmark Litigation: The Definitive Guide to America’s Leading Litigation Firms and Attorneys as a “Future Star.” She is a member of the Louisville, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio and American Bar Associations, the Sherman Minton Inn of Court and a former member of the Louis D. Brandeis American Inn of Court.

She has presented on health law issues for the National Business Institute, the Kentucky Association of Homes and Services for the Aging and the National Association of Medical Examiners. She is a board certified Medical Technologist (ASCP) and has worked in the Norton hospital laboratory.
