As a result of Mr. Tigue’s extensive land use practice, he has been integrally involved in many of Metro Louisville’s more significant land development projects, including the Midlands, Norton Commons subdivision, the Summit shopping center and other large scale single and multi-family residential subdivisions, commercial/retail and industrial developments. Mr. Tigue’s practice has also involved several high profile matters generating significant public interest. Some notable examples include Louisville “landmark� Old Bus Parsons River Creek Inn, Bauer’s Restaurant Since 1870, RMD Corp. (a/k/a “The Palm Tree� Case), Meade County Quarry, Beech Bend Raceway Park, Inc. (Bowling Green, Kentucky’s top tourist attraction) and the Mike Tyson v. Danny Williams sporting event.
Over the course of his practice, Mr. Tigue has also developed a significant trial practice in general commercial litigation before federal and state courts, including taking multiple cases through trial.
Mr. Tigue is a member of the Home Builders Association of Louisville and the Louisville Chapter of CCIM. He is also a member of the American, Kentucky and Louisville Bar Associations. Mr. Tigue was selected by the prestigious Chambers USA directory as a leading lawyer in real estate, zoning and land use in Kentucky in its 2008, 2009 and 2010 publications.
