While obtaining his electrical engineering degree, Mr. Higdon was employed as a co-op engineer with the Navy, working on a gun weapons system for Navy Guided Missile Destroyer Ships. Through his work with the Navy he coded software in a variety of languages, worked on several signal processing projects and performed data analysis. During law school, Scott was employed in the consumer appliance industry as a quality control engineer and performed testing and troubleshooting on electrical control systems for various household appliances.

While in law school, Mr. Higdon was a member of the University of Louisville Law Review and served as an Editor for the Journal of Law and Education. He was also president of the school’s intellectual property organization and served as a senator and class representative for the Student Bar Association.

Mr. Higdon is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the American Bar Association, the Kentucky Bar Association and the Louisville Bar Association.
